Join us on Tuesday, May 10th at 12 pm EDT on a live Zoom call to learn ways to help improve the quality of your life if you face EDS. As we know, there is no cure, but these suggestions might help you have better control of your out-of-control disorder. My special guest speaker is Ellen Lenox Smith, one of the Rhode Island EDS support group administrators, an ambassador, board member, and the Co-Director for Cannabis Advocacy for the U.S. Pain Foundation. She has been an EDS national conference speaker and has been featured in the press sharing her compassionate perspective on the need for safe patient access to medicine. She knows too well that EDS can be a crippling disease as she struggles with it herself. EDS allows her joints to become easily subluxed, causing severe pain that confined her for four years to a wheelchair. In 2006, she was accepted into the Connective Tissue Research at NIH to help search for a cure. She is the author of two books including It Hurts Like Hell!: I Live With Pain and Have A Good Life Anyway. She has endured 26 surgeries and countless visits to her doctors and joins us for an informative session.
