About Chronic Pain Partners Production
Chronic Pain Partners, a US-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was created in 2011 to support people with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes.
www.EDSawareness.com is an online resource for the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
community, their caregivers, medical professionals, and everyone who is interested in learning more about the genetic connective tissue disorder.
We help create independent, local EDS Support groups, host live webinars to help educate our members, caregivers and health care providers, and launched a CME program for physicians and another one for nurses.
The mission of EDS Awareness is to ensure a greater understanding of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome by patients, the general public, and within the medical community – in order to improve the quality of life for those affected by EDS, and those who care for them.
Now, we are expanding our scope to produce original film content made by and for the greater community. With Chronic Pain Partners Production, we are supporting emerging journalists and filmmakers who take on the important task of representing the chronic illness and disability communities across the globe.
Our first film published on our channel, We Are Visible, is a feature-length film about individuals with the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, but we want to go beyond this community. Future films on this site will feature people all around the globe who live with varying illnesses – physical or mental health conditions – and disabilities – visible and invisible.
Those documentary films will embrace “Nothing about us without us” and will all be produced by disabled filmmakers to ensure an accurate depiction of disability on screen!
