About EDS Vermont Support Group

Our EDS Vermont Support Group was originally formed in October 2015.  We meet quarterly on the second Saturday in January, April, July and October from 11 am – 2 pm in the Frymoyer Community Health Resource Center located off of the main lobby at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont.  If you decide to attend a meeting, bring your own lunch with you as the coffee shop is closed on weekends.  Please stay home and care for yourself if you have a cold or a virus as some members have immune deficiencies.

Our meetings typically include a speaker, presentation or a webinar, a discussion or question/answer session followed by a Share Our Strategies session or an informal social mixing period.

We understand that EDSers have our good days and our bad days. Even if you cannot attend the meetings regularly, we can still communicate through our web pages.

We also have a Facebook page where you can keep up with other members, news and events.  Our Facebook group is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Vermont.  It is a closed group, but send the admin a request to join, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

We are currently collecting contact information for a “preferred providers” list in Vermont.  If you are looking for the name of a specialist who has been recommended by another EDS Vermont member, contact us.  If you have a health care provider you would like to recommend, please contact us with the provider’s name, specialty, location and why you would like to recommend this provider.
