EDS Friends of Alaska Hope EDS Support Group
Alaska has not had a support group for those that have been affected by Ehlers Danlos Syndrome by having it themselves or knowing someone who has it. Being that Alaska is a big state with beautiful scenery, but little access to medical teams that are available in the lower 48 states, its important that a network be built up here. By working together, each of us can play a significant supportive role to one another by providing that gentle hug, doctor recommendation, orthopedic support recommendation, and much more.
We plan to have get-togethers when our bodies are capable. We understand that EDSers have our good days and our bad days. Even if you cannot attend the meetings regularly, we can still communicate through our web pages.
A closed group face book page has been designed for Alaska Hope EDS Support Group. This will be updated with activities and fun chit chat that may take place.
