About Capital Area Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Support Group

The Capital Area Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Support Group was started in June 2018 by Gayle Yankee, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, a board-certified nurse practitioner who also has hypermobile EDS. Meetings are in the Lansing, Michigan area, open to the public and free of charge. Meetings are both for individuals with EDS and their support people (“Zebras” and “Zebra Wranglers”), and are held every month, currently on the second Tuesday of the month. The next meeting is Tuesday, October 8th from 7 – 8:30 p.m. The support group meets in the Community Room of the Okemos Branch of the Capital Area District Library, 4321 Okemos Rd, Okemos, Michigan 48864. We hope to see you there!

During COVID-19 precautions we are meeting online via Zoom! Please go to the meetings section for details!

Please click on the following link for a PDF of the presentation I gave at the first group meeting, EDS – An Overview. You can also check the meetings and articles pages for updates on meetings and events, and links to presentation slides.

We have a Facebook page, too: https://www.facebook.com/edssupportlansing/. Meetings and other events are posted there. Also, meeting video presentations and slides will be available in the Files tab there, as I can’t upload large files to this site anymore. Please visit and leave a comment!

You may email me with questions or comments using the links on this page, or use this email address: capitalareaeds@gmail.com.

Zebra hugs,

Gayle
