About our speaker: Dr. Mitzi Murray
Dr. Murray is a clinical geneticist with a focus on evaluating and providing care for individuals and families with heritable connective tissue disorders. She also interprets molecular diagnostic tests and acts as assistant director of the Collagen Diagnostic Laboratory, directed by Dr. Peter Byers.
Dr. Murray earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and her M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She first came to the University of Washington to train in clinical genetics and later pursued additional training in clinical molecular genetics. During that time, she also completed a master’s degree and fellowship in bioethics. She is a fellow of the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics and is board certified in clinical genetics and in clinical molecular genetics.
