EDSer comments

– It is like having an adjustable bed whenever you need it. With my EDS, I sublux everything while trying to get in and out of bed. Now, I can raise and lower myself without twisting or pulling myself into risky positions. Pain and injury prevention! I also use it to sleep at an incline for my GERD and to watch TV or use the computer in bed. The large buttons on the controller are easy to use, and the wedge inflates gently, but surprisingly fast.

– The mattress Genie helps me find the best sleeping position to lessen my pain. I like that it is adjustable in tiny increments, because the same angle doesn’t always work for me. With EDS, the subluxations in my hips and back move from one spot to the next on a daily basis. It works on any mattress type – even my heavy Tempurpedic mattress!

– I fell in love with this product while recovering from a car accident. The combination of my EDS and whiplash left me unable to get in and out of bed on my own.  Even having assistance was very painful, since my caregiver was unable to properly support my head, neck and back simultaneously – while lowering or raising my upper body from the flat surface of the mattress. (He tried.) Even if you don’t need it every day, I think every EDSer should have a Mattress Genie under their mattress – to be prepared for those unforeseen flareups, injuries or surgery recovery. It lays flat when not in use.

This is pretty cool thing on your mattress. I would like to try it for me. But is this machine cost too much?
