Canadian Group Platinum Blonde Helps Fundraise for Ehlers Danlos Treatment

A Canadian singing group is preforming at a fundraising event for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

“Famed Canadian group Platinum Blonde will be rockin’ for a good cause at Oakville’s Shakers Tap and Grill tomorrow (Saturday).

Organizers of the Improving the Life of Children (ILC) Foundation fundraiser confirmed earlier this week the rockers will make an appearance at the restaurant for an autograph signing and short performance.

“The fundraiser will support Shakers’ owner’s wife Joanne Cerasani, 39, who is living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) – an inherited connective tissue disorder. Money raised will help Cerasani seek medical treatment in the U.S.

Along with Platinum Blonde, musical guests will include Tom Barlow, Gord Depp, Marshal Dane, Liquid Courage, Michael Zane, Dale Roosien, Fresh, Corey Leuck, Pat Hewitt, Lou Pinto and James Clark Jones.

The benefit will also feature an appearance by HGTV personality Mike Holmes and his crew.

Those who purchased tickets prior to the Aug. 25 break-in are asked to inform Shakers’ staff when they arrive so they can be issued a new ticket that will entitle them to participate in the door prize draw.

The fundraiser runs from 2-8 p.m. at Shakers Tap and Grill, 580 Kerr St.

Each $20 ticket, which can be purchased at the door, will be entered into a draw to win one of several door prizes including a three-day trip to Las Vegas.
